Selmaville improved to 3-1 beating Field on the road 18-1. Gabby Goostree picked up her 3rd win with a 1-hitter striking out 6. Gia Ward has gotten off to a hot start this season and continued that as she hit her 2nd homer of the year going 2-2 and driving in 3. Gwen Goostree had 2 hits and 2 runs, Grey Garden drove in 2. The Lady Rockets will host Sandoval Wednesday at the Little League Complex before starting the OBC Tournament Thursday against Central City at Field.
This was the 200th win for coach John Chappell who coached 16 years at odin and is in his 4th year at Selmaville. Also Selmaville is in its 10th season of having a softball team and is just 4 wins shy of the program reaching 100 wins.
