A 33-year-old Kinmundy man has been arrested by Salem Police and Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies on multiple sex charges for alleged activities that have occurred over the past few years in both Salem and Kinmundy.
Daniel Belfiore of East 1st was taken into custody Friday afternoon for two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, two counts of indecent solicitation of a child over the internet, and one count of grooming.
The two counts of both aggravated criminal sexual abuse and indecent solicitation of a child are the results of acts allegedly involving the same female under the age of 18 at Belfoire’s home and her residence. The victim is described as a family friend.
Belfoire was taken to the Marion County Jail, where he is expected to remain until a final decision on charges is made and he makes a first court appearance on Monday.
