Two people were injured Friday afternoon in a single SUV crash on Green Street Road near Brick Hill Road east of Central City.
Initial information from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department indicates the vehicle driven by 30-year-old Shannon Phelps of Kell Road in Texico drove off the pavement into a deep ditch.
Both Phelps and a passenger, whose name has not yet been released, were taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment of injuries.
An Air Evac Helicopter had initially been requested, but was later cancelled, with the two transported via Lifestar Ambulance.
The crash occurred at 3:28 on Friday afternoon.
