A 43-year-old Centralia woman was injured in a Monday night single car crash at 7th and Brookside blamed on a cat.
Centralia Police say Tyra Laffoon of Edgewood Lane was traveling northbound on Brookside when a cat ran out in front of her. She swerved to avoid the cat and ended up in the roadside ditch.
Laffoon was transported to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment of injuries. She was ticketed for improper lane usage.
The Centralia Fire Department was also called to the scene to assist.
The crash occurred at 9:30 Monday night.
