The Southern Illinois Pullers League Tractor Pull was held at the Marion County Fairgrounds Thursday night for the first time.
Winners included Bill Saathoff of Hillsboro in the Hot Street Gas Trucks, Mark Schroer of Oakdale in the 5,000 to Cut 4 mph, John Cray of Morrisonville in two week drive trucks, Jordan Huels of Carlyle in the 12,500 pound 12 mile per hour farm stock, Chris Huels of Carlyle in the 5,500 top cut 4 mph, and Josh Diekemper of Carlyle in the 12,500 15 mph farm stock.
The Marion County Fair continues Friday night with the Marion County Demolition Derby the grandstand entertainment beginning at 6:30 pm. Kids in attendance will be able to try their skills on Power Wheels, with the adult competition to follow. Lower Reserved seats are $20, upper reserved $18, and $25 for Pit Passes.
The fair wraps up on Saturday with a car show during the day and the ITPA tractor pull providing the evening grandstand entertainment.
