Salem Police arrested 31-year-old Alex Allen of Allmon Street in Salem for alleged domestic battery. He was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail after police responded to his residence when an altercation occurred with another resident.
Central City Police arrested 35-year-old Clayton Owen of Marvin Street in Central City with violation of an order of protection. He was taken to the Marion County Jail.
Salem Police arrested 37-year-old Bailey Lyday for misdemeanor criminal trespass to property after she allegedly entered a vacant mobile home at Salem Mobile Home Park without permission. A neighbor reported seeing her go into the home through a window. She reportedly had exited through the front door before police arrived. Lyday was only charged with criminal trespass since nothing was found missing in the home. She was released on a notice to appear in court pending formal court action.
Two people were brought to the Marion County Jail on outstanding failure to appear warrants. 40-year-old Tim Finley of Marion was arrested by sheriff’s deputies on a no-bond failure to appear misdemeanor warrant. 23-year-old Matthew Polk of Bloomington, IL was arrested by Centralia Police on an outstanding Marion County 2019 felony warrant with a bond set at $10,000.
The Salem Fire Protection District was called to the A,T,&T building on North Washington Street, across the street from the courthouse, early Saturday morning for a fire alarm. There was no fire.
