SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital has launched its first-ever Pharmacy Residency Program, welcoming two residents to its team this July.
Libby Ahlers, a native of Nashville, Illinois who graduated from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and Anisha Philipose, from Mount Prospect and a graduate of the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy, are the inaugural members of the program.
The Pharmacy Residency Program at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital is designed to provide residents with hands-on clinical training across diverse areas of pharmacy practice. Through this immersive experience, residents will enhance their clinical skills while working closely with seasoned pharmacists who serve as mentors and guides.
The Residency Program Director Cassidy Jansen, PharmD, BCPS, PGY-1, says they are very excited to welcome our first pharmacy residents this year. She says this represents a meaningful step in expanding our clinical capabilities and supporting the development of future pharmacy professionals.
The addition of pharmacy residents marks a significant milestone in the hospital’s commitment to advancing healthcare education and improving patient care through innovation and collaboration.
