Clay County State’s Attorney Phillip Givens has announced three people have been sentenced to prison in Clay County Court.
52-year-old John Mulvaney of Kinmundy received a three-year prison term after his probation was revoked for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. The revocation was based on testing positive during a drug test for meth. Mulvaney will have to complete six months of court supervision when getting out of prison.
23-year-old Garrett Cosner of Flora was sentenced to five years in prison for aggravated battery to a police officer. He pled guilty to punching a Clay County officer on June 9th. Cosner received a five-year prison term to be followed by one year of mandatory supervised released.
32-year-old Steven Moore of Flora was sentenced to five years in prison after his probation for unlawful possession of methamphetamine was revoked based on a positive drug test. He will have to serve six months mandatory supervised release when getting out of prison.
