James Brian Moulton, a beloved resident of Centralia, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, at the age of 46. He was born on Saturday, May 19th, 1979, in Panama City to Clifford Moulton Sr. and Janice Amanda (Yancy) Moulton.

James is survived by his father, Clifford Moulton Sr., his loving significant other, Kim Snyder, and his sister, Vonna Moulton of Cottage Hill, IL. He also leaves behind his Uncle William Moulton and Aunt Clara Moulton Moose and Aunt Leta Langdon; numerous cousins, many friends, and his cherished furry companions: his dogs, Floki and Rogue, and his cats, Inky, Nyx, Swiper, Hooper, Toonces, Ruxie, and Sigrid.

He joins in peace his mother, Janice Amanda Yancy, and brother, Clifford Eugene Moulton, Jr., along with several aunts and uncles who preceded him in death.

James dedicated his life to caring for others, working as a registered nurse with a specialization in behavioral health. His compassionate nature and gentle disposition made him a calming presence for both colleagues and those in his care.

James was an avid music lover with a passion for singing. His joyful voice and love for music had the power to lift spirits and bring joy to those around him. He cherished the outdoors, often spending his leisure time fishing and camping, enjoying the serenity and beauty of nature.

James was also a devoted fan of the iconic series “Doctor Who” and the beloved film “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” These interests echoed his imaginative spirit and love for storytelling.

Private services in honor of James’s life will be held at a later date. His life will be celebrated in the presence of close family and friends, where stories of his warmth and kindness will be shared.
