Kristi Colbert, a cherished member of the Mason, Illinois community, was born on Tuesday, November 27, 1973, in Centralia, Illinois, to Terry A. Colbert and Mitzie J. (Evans) Hicks. She passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Effingham, Illinois, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Family was at the heart of Kristi’s life. She is survived by her beloved fiancé, Stacy Taylor of Mason, Illinois; her dear children, Jason Boyer, along with his fiancée Maria Cristina Sedillo, and Britney Boyer, with her fiancé Braxton Wharton, both of Central City. Kristi adored her grandchildren, Isaac Boyer and Kieran Boyer, and was a loving step-mother to Caleb Taylor and Andrew Taylor-Campbell. She is also survived by her devoted siblings, brother David Hicks (Sarah) and sister, Shanda Myers (James), all of Centralia, along with several cherished nieces and nephews.

Kristi was preceded in death by her father, Terry A. Colbert; her mother, Mitzie J. Hicks; her brother, Tom Hicks; her niece, Alexa Dale; her nephew, Christifer Schulte; and her grandson, Creed Michael Boyer. Their memories lived on with Kristi and continue to be a source of inspiration and love for her family.

Kristi was a dedicated and accomplished Certified Public Accountant, having earned her bachelor degree in accounting. Over the years, she applied her keen eye for numbers and analytical skills while working at Walgreens and H&R Block. Her peers and clients admired her for her professionalism and dedication.

Kristi was a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers. Lighthouses fascinated her, embodying her guiding spirit and strength. Above all, she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and family. Her loyal companion and furry friend, Cinci, brought her immense joy and comfort.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of her life at 1:00 pm at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois. Kristi’s family invites everyone to join in honoring her lasting legacy filled with love and compassion.
