Mt Vernon and Patoka were among a talented field of area and international participants at the 8u Pinto World Series held in Marion. Patoka opened with a 13-2 loss to DuQuoin but bounced back to beat Mt Vernon 21-16 and then the Illinois Crush of Carterville 13-3. Patoka finished up pool play with an 11-1 win over the Dominican Republic. In the semifinal round Patoka defeated Herrin 12-1. Patoka then fell in the elimination round 7-6 to Litchfield.
The Dominican Republic won the Red Bracket Championship beating the Charleston Pride in the finals.
