Rushing Wins Effingham Junior Open

Salem’s Jarett Rushing won the Effingham Junior Open Boys’ 18 and under singles tennis tournament held at Effingham High School.

In the quarterfinals: Jarett Rushing won over Angel Julian Thomas Padilla 6-0, 6-0. Then in the semifinals, he beat William Lewis 6-1, 6-2. In the championship match, he defeated Schaefer Bates 6-3, 6-3.
