A 47-year-old Mt. Vernon man has been airlifted to a St. Louis Hospital for injuries he sustained in a motorcycle crash just outside of Mt. Vernon on Tuesday night.
Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Bullard says Aaron Richardson lost control while traveling on North 42nd Street near East Bishop Road, overcorrected, and wrecked in the ditch. He sustained a serious head injury requiring him to be airlifted to a St. Louis Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred at 9:33 Tuesday night.
