The Southern Illinois Select 17U Basketball team went 3-0 in Pool Play at the ESPN AAU World Championship Tournament in Orlando, and they will move into Bracket Play on Saturday. The Select are the defending World Champions and include Bluford’s Nathaniel Marlow, Carlyle’s Zack Persing and Gage Peterson of Waltonville among other area athletes.
The Salem trio of Kaeden Bevolo, Avery and Payton Gullion will travel to Alton with their 16u Illinois Bears to compete in weekend tournament action.
