B.C.M.W project B.R.E.A.D, in partnership with the Midland Area Agency on Aging and the Illinois Department of Aging, will begin accepting applications for Farmers Market Coupons starting Monday, July 7th.
The coupons are available to seniors age 60 and over and can be used at Farmers Markets in Centralia, Mt. Vernon, and Salem.
For eligibility, you must be 60 or older, and must complete a short application. If you cannot apply in person, a proxy may apply for you. The proxy must present your signed application and a photo ID. Coupons are given while supplies last.
Applications in Centralia can be picked up at the main office of 909 E Rexford, Centralia during open business hours, Monday through Thursday, 9-11:30 am and 1-3pm.
For applications in Salem, you can visit the Salem Seniors Nutrition Site at the Grace United Methodist Church. Open business days and hours include Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30-11am.
Coupons are valid at participating Farmers Markets, and the redemption period lasts from July 10th, to October 31st.
