The Salem Wildcats varsity basketball finished up a successful summer season in June capped off by splitting a pair of games last night in Pinckneyville. The Cats knocked off St Anthony in the opener before falling to a very good Waltonville team in their final game.
Three members of the Wildcats….Kaeden Bevolo, Avery and Payton Gullion will continue to play this month for the Illinois Bears 16u in Carterville. They have tournaments this month including Alton this weekend, Chicago next and then Milwaukee to finish up their summer in 3 weeks.
