The Aviston Round Robin Showcase continues today. Alton and Aviston open the day at 10 followed at noon by Alton and Christian County. Shelby County and Christian County will play at 2 and the tournament finishes up at 4 with Aviston and Shelby County.
The tournament opened yesterday. Alton beat Shelby County 9-6 in a game that lasted 2 hours and 44 minutes. Aviston then improved to 18-3 on the season with a 21-6 win over Christian County. Drake Curry was the winning pitcher. Garrick Winkeler had 2 hits and 2 RBI along with Max Albers.
