Schmidt Ford is one win away from claiming the 2025 City Series championship after their 17-4 win in the opener of the best-of-three series. Ethan Parrett led the offensive onslaught with 5 hits. Nolan Krutsinger and Kash Hall both had 3 hits while Zach Jones and Briar Britton each had two and Eli Polanski had one. Hall got the win on the mound going 4 2/3 with 11 strikeouts. Prior to the game, the League honored long time volunteer coach Jim Husk for 60 years of coaching at the Complex. Husk’s teams have participated in about half of the City Series in his 6 decades of volunteering.
