A 64-year-old Centralia man was arrested for alleged child pornography after the Illinois Attorney General Police as part of its Cyber Task Force executed a search warrant on his home Tuesday with the assistance of Centralia Police.
James Nail of South Cherry Street was allegedly found in possession of 18,000 files that are believed to contain child pornography.
Centralia Police say the Attorney General’s Office received a tip through Google of the alleged child pornography activity.
Nail was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a final decision on charges and a first appearance in court.
