Today is the Juneteenth federal and state holiday to celebrate the end of slavery in the U.S.
Many state and federal offices will be closed along with the Marion County and other area courthouses. Salem and Centralia City Hall are open on their usual schedule and trash pickup is not impacted.
There will be no home mail delivery and many financial institutions are closed.
