Water and sewer rates in Sandoval are going up three percent on July 1st. The minimum water bill for in-town residents will now be $21.04 per month with the minimum sewer bill increasing to $10.37. Each additional thousand gallons of water will cost $8.47 and the cost for additional sewage service will be $7.79. The minimum water rates for out-of-town residents will be $24.24 and minimum sewer rates will jump to $12.70. The increase covers the 18-cent per one-thousand-gallon jump in price from the City of Centralia, which supplies Sandoval’s water.
The board voted to express no interest in annexing a new solar farm on Jolliff Bridge Road that is within the village’s zoning jurisdiction that extends one and a half miles outside the village limits.
The board agreed to add homes at 305 South Main and 509 North Fayette to the list to be demolished.
A bid was awarded to cut down two trees at 111 South Mulberry.
