The Daffy-Dill Garden Club is holding their second Annual Festival of Flowers and Statue Garden Walk on Saturday, June 21st, from 9 am-3 pm.

This event will showcase the garden of flowers by the Bryan Memorial Statue, including a guided tour showing the evolution of the park and the plants that have been planted there.

Daffy-Dill Garden Club Member, Carrisa Coffie, expresses her appreciation for the club members and its garden.

“The women who do this work hard, and we do more than just the garden part. There are other things throughout the year that we do, but the statue garden is our prize. It’s used many times, you’ll see during school dances, people are out there for their pictures. Just today, some of my fellow members were out there, and there was a photographer out there with a family. It’s just beautiful, and now is the best time to go. I mean everything is in bloom, and it’s just beautiful.”

The event will have many craft vendors with caramel treats and woodwork items. Food trucks will also be in attendance, including Produce Plus, Simply Soul from Centralia, and 6:10 Coffee.

Children can enjoy a face painting tent, and can each plant a plant of their own in the park.

The Daffy-Dill Garden Club is always looking for help, and there will be a tent set up with information for people who are interested in volunteering.

This is the Daffy-Dill Garden Club’s 20th anniversary.
