The 3a/4a IHSA Baseball State Tournaments are this weekend at the Duly Health & Care Field in Joliet.
The Triad Knights are making the program’s 3rd trip to the IHSA baseball final four in 2012 and 2018 when they finished 4th. Coach Jesse Bugger is in his 17th year with the Knights. They are 34-6 on the year and will open up their 3a semifinals at 10am against 35-5 Burbank St Laurence.
The 2nd semifinal will see 26-12 Lisle Benet Academy taking on the Trojans of Cary Grove who are 25-12. Game time at 1pm.
The 4a semifinals begin at 4pm with 34-4 Libertyville taking on 36-4 Normal Community followed by the 37-3 Crusaders of Brother Rice taking on 35-4-1 McHenry at 7pm.
