It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Eric Scott Queen, who left this world on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the age of 44. A lifelong resident of Centralia, Illinois, Eric was born on Tuesday, February 17, 1981, the beloved son of Richard Eugene Queen, Sr., and Delores Ann (Bradley) Queen.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard “Rick” Queen, Jr., an uncle: William Bradley, Jr., and his aunts: Debbie Bradley, Kay Thouvenin, Donna Drake, and Sandra Bradley, whom he cherished dearly. Despite these profound losses, Eric’s resilience and unwavering love for his family were constant sources of strength and inspiration to those around him.

He leaves behind his devoted brother, Brian Queen of Centralia, who fondly remembers their shared memories and adventures. Eric’s legacy continues through his beautiful daughter, Savannah Queen, and step-daughter, Kati Knapp, both of Centralia, who were the pride and joy of his life. Also surviving are his two uncles: John Bradley of Central City and Steve Bradley and wife Veronica of Centralia; and his four-legged companion, Theo.

Eric worked for Walgreens Distributing in Mt. Vernon for 25 years. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and just being outdoors. He was also an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, and the Centralia Orphans Basketball. Eric’s life was a testament to the values he held dear: his daughters, family, and friendship.

Eric’s family and friends will gather for a visitation on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from noon until his Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia, where he will be laid to rest next to his mother. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Brian Queen and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home located at 235 North Sycamore Street, Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to Eric’s Family during this difficult time.
