Four people were taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment of injuries following a car-pickup truck crash late Monday morning at McCord and Pleasant Street.

Centralia Police say a car driven by 19-year-old Christopher Pugh of Orchard Drive in Centralia was traveling northbound on Pleasant when it apparently ran a red light and collided with a westbound pickup on McCord Street driven by 65-year-old James Endres of Germantown.

The impact of the crash knocked the pickup truck into the traffic signal causing damage to it.

Endres and his wife, 63-year-old Jean Endres of Germantown, were both taken to St. Mary’s via Lifestar Ambulance. Pugh and a passenger in his car, 20-year-old Jackson Mooney of Walnut Hill, were both taken to the hospital via private vehicle.

Pugh was ticketed for disobeying a traffic control device. The crash occurred at 11:45 Monday morning.
