Christ Our Rock junior Landyn Mitchell is the IHSA Class 1a state champion in the 110 meter high hurdles in a PR time of 14.37. He was also state runner up in the triple jump with a PR leap of 44’9.5’’. Sophomore Carson Pigg was 3rd in his section of the 3200 and 21st overall in a time of 10:25.69. Both will be back for the Stallions next season.
Centralia’s KaiVeric Bratton ran the 200m in the prelims on Friday and Salem’s Miking Ettress also ran with neither advanced to the finals. The Orphans junior did run a 22.10 this year which ranks him 3rd all time at CHS and his 11.01 in the 100m is #6 all time at CHS. Leonard Bratton finished his Orphans career with a 7th place in the triple jump going 43’10’’. He finished 6th on the CHS all time list at 45’3’’. Salem’s Trey Clark also threw the discus at state and the sophomore threw it a little over 127’.
