Tully Park Site For 3a Regional Softball Championship, Annies Host Triad Today
Tully Park in Salem is the site for the 3a softball regional finals today featuring the Olney Lady Tigers and Freeburg. Game time at 1pm.
Also today, Centralia had their game with Triad moved to today at Centralia.
Yesterday, Marion won their regional championship beating Carbondale 2-1 and Mt Zion at home beat visiting Charleston 12-7.
Hatchets Drop Matchup At Casey In Instant Classic
In what could have been the 1a state championship game, Casey Westfield defended their home field over power house Windsor/Stew-Stras 1-0 in 10 innings. Warrior’s pitcher Ava Goble hit a solo shot to left center in the top of the 10th. In the loss, the Hatchets Sam Hayes struck out 15.
In 1a Sectional finals at Trico, Waltonville takes on Elverado at 11 a.m.
In 2a championship at Murphysboro, Anna Jonesboro takes on Carterville at noon. Yesterday, Newton won the Vandalia Sectional beating Columbia 1-0.
