Christ Our Rock junior Landyn Mitchell qualified for the finals in 2 of his 3 events yesterday at the IHSA State Track Meet at EIU. He qualified in the triple jump getting the final qualifying spot at #12 out of the 36 jumpers going 42’1.5’’. Mitchell then ran a 14.98 in the 110 hurdles to qualify as the 2nd fastest in the finals. Mitchell was 6th a year ago. He failed to reach the finals in the 300 hurdles finishing 16th.
Teammate Carson Pigg will run in Section 1 of the 3200 meter finals tomorrow.
