SC Falls To Pawnee At Altamont

The season came to an end for the South Central Cougars as they fell at the Altamont 1a Sectional to the Pawnee Indians 4-0. A single by Ethan Fulton on an 0-2 count to put Pawnee on the board in the 4th.  Trevan Sidwell had 2 hits to lead South Central. He took the loss on the mound allowing 4 runs on 7 hits with 4 strikeouts. Carson Wort tripled and drove in 3 runs for Pawnee who advances to take on Casey Westfield in the sectional finals after they eliminated Nokomis a13-5.. Congratulations to the Cougars who won their 3rd straight regional this year.


CORLHS Drops Game  To Top Ranked McGivney

The Christ Our Rock Stallion’s season ended at the hand of the top-ranked team in 1a, Father McGivney, by a final of 17-2 to open up the Greenville 1a Sectional.  McGivney wasted no time putting up 6 runs in the top of the first and followed that up with 4 more in the 2nd. Jayden Bazile singled along with Brayden Albert and Blake Hanke. Albert and Hanke drove in the Stallion runs. CORLHS season ends at 16-10 and their 4th straight regional championship.  McGivney will play Hardin Calhoun in the finals after they beat Gibault 5-1.


At Cobden, Steeleville beat Goreville in a pitcher’s duel 1-0 and will take on Waltonville who knocked off Hardin County 6-4.

In 2a, Teutopolis came back to beat Breese Central 7-4 at the Teutopolis Sectional and will advance to take on rival St Anthony in the finals after they eliminated Columbia 7-3.
