The Salem 3a baseball regional opens today with top seed Effingham taking on conference rival Charleston. The two teams split their games this season. First pitch set for 4:30. The winner advances to Saturday’s championship against tomorrow’s winner between Salem and Mattoon.
At Centralia today, Marion will take on Carbondale at 4pm followed by the Orphans and Mt Vernon at 6. Those two teams also split their two conference matchups this year.
At Civic Memorial, Triad takes on Jerseyville and then Highland and Civic Memorial. Mascoutah will host East St Louis.
