In 2a, the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes got a gem from junior Austin Borries as he topped 91 mph throwing a five inning no-hitter beating the host Newton 10-0. They will advance to their own Sectional on Wednesday night against Breese Central who won their first regional title since 2017 beating Greenville in Breese 11-3.
Also Saturday in 2a regional finals, Nashville lost just their 2nd game of the season as they lost to DuQuoin 5-4 in 8-innings at Carterville. Breese Central won their first regional since 2017 with their 11-3 win over Greenville in Breese. At Roxana, Columbia shutout the host Shells 3-0.
