Funeral services have been set for an eight-year-old Kinmundy girl who died this weekend from injuries sustained following a seven-foot fall from a tree at her home.
Grace Elizabeth Fitzwater fell from the tree on Friday morning. She was taken to the Salem Township Hospital helipad and was transferred to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, where she passed away with family by her side late Saturday afternoon. She is the daughter of Jesse and Emilee Fitzwater.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th, at the Kinmundy United Methodist Church in Kinmundy from 4:00 pm until all friends who want to pay their respects pass through. Memorials may be made to Grace’s family to help assist with medical expenses. Following visitation, cremation rites will be accorded, and a private family service will be held at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Kinmundy.
