The Centralia City Council Tuesday night will consider an increase in leases for the portion of Lake Centralia that they own.

In all, 69 properties on the lake are involved.  The proposal includes a 9.9-percent increase for the next five years, which amounts to a 1.98 percent average over the previous five years.

The council will also be asked to waive the bidding requirements and approve the purchase of a 2020 Ford Explorer from Asia Motors, Inc. for the amount of $26,520.   The vehicle will replace a squad car damaged in an accident.  Insurance will cover all but $2649 of the cost, with the remaining to be covered from the city police department’s DUI funds.

The meeting has been moved back to Tuesday night at six due to the Memorial Day Holiday.
