An eight-year-old Kinmundy girl was critically injured and last reported in a coma after falling seven feet out of a tree at her home Friday morning.
Kinmundy-Alma Ambulance and United Medical Response both assisted in getting the girl to the Salem Township Hospital heliport, where she was transferred to a St. Louis Hospital.
Initial information from Kinmundy-Alma Firemen and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department is that the girl had climbed the tree many times in the past without an issue. The two departments have not released the girl’s name.
