The Salem Family Aquatic Center opens this Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 24th. but the weather may not cooperate.
The pool hours will be from noon to 6:00, Monday through Sunday. For entry to the pool, tickets for ages 3-64 cost $7, 65 and older cost $3, and ages 2 and under enter for free. A variety of season passes are available for individuals and families.
Jed Casburn, is the new man in charge of the Salem Aquatic Center, talks about scheduling parties.
“Everybody who got on May 1 can still get on to reserve your parties,” Casburn said “The website opened up on May 1 and it’s going very well. I’m sure we have a few spots still available, but it’s been pretty busy on that end.”
The Salem Aquatic Center has been successfully staffed with no problems and is excited to open this Memorial Day weekend.
The pool generally won’t open if there are thunderstorms in the forecast or if the temperature is not forecast to go above 70 degrees. WJBD will carry pool closing information.
