A 61-year-old Patoka man was arrested Thursday afternoon for driving under the influence after his SUV ran into the side of a trailer on a semi.
Salem Police say Marty Isaak of Marion Street in Patoka was traveling northbound on Kinney Boulevard when he didn’t stop at West Main Street and ran into the side of the eastbound semi.
The driver of the truck didn’t stop and may not have realized his trailer had been hit. The front of Isaaks SUV was ripped off.
Salem Police say Isaak was checked on the scene by United Medical Response for injuries. He declined hospital treatment.
Police report Isaak was arrested for DUI after he failed field sobriety tests He was released to a family member.
The crash occurred at 3:46 Thursday afternoon.
