A 40-year-old Centralia man has pleaded guilty in Marion County Court to threatening a public official.
Trevor Cannon of Colestock Lane was charged with threatening a Salem Police Officer with physical attack and his wife with sexual assault after he was not allowed to drive away from Applebee’s because the officer believed he was under the influence. Police had initially been called to remove Cannon from the restaurant as he was being trespassed.
Cannon was placed on two years’ probation and agreed to make a $2,436 donation to the Salem Police Department’s Shop with a Cop. He will also have to pay a $600 probation fee.
The incident occurred in December 2022.
Two other aggravated battery charges from a separate incident in October 2022 were dropped as part of the plea.
