The Salem Lady Wildcat hosted Marion for their Pink Out.  Marion Came out on top, but the day wasn’t about wins or losses.  They celebrated the continued fight of Salem teacher Abby Etnier who is battling cancer.  Salem also surprised a pair of Marion players who were affected by the May 16th tornado that went through to the surprise of the Marion coaches who posted nothing but high praise and thanks to the Salem team, coaches and community for the amazing show of love posting “as I sit on the bus on the way home from Salem, I can’t help but be overwhelmed with joy from the kindness and generosity of the Salem softball team.”

In the game, Reagan Shuler got the start and freshman Katee Sellers got her first innings of varsity work on the season.  At the plate, Jaelyn Keller was 4-4 with a home run, her 3rd of the season.  Lilly Blagoue hit her 5th of the year and Marah Johnson drove in 2 runs on 2 hits.


Tobin’s No Hitter & DeSmith’s Big Day Helps Lady Rams Over Highland

Mt Vernon’s Taylor DeSmith drove in 4 runs on 3 hits to lead the Lady Rams past Highland 8-0.  Danicah Tobin struck out 16 batters in the no hit win.  Arwyn Wilkey also had a multi-hit day.
