Lady Cats drop a tough one to Columbia 8-0. Bre Thurman struck out 12 in a tough effort. Mya Russell had the lone hit. Salem finishes conference play 9-1 and finish as co-conference champions. This is their first conference championship in the softball program history. They will host Flora for their Pink Out Game this afternoon.
Christ Our Rock fell to Casey Westfield 17-7. Peyton Jett doubled and drove in 3 runs. Alayna French, Emma Williamson and Liv Torrence also had RBI. Williamson hit a solo homer.
Mt Vernon was up 1-0 in the top of the first at Cahokia when the weather canceled the rest of the game. Danicah Tobin had the Mt Vernon RBI with a double.
The SC Lady Cougars beat Dieterich 12-6 at Deep Rock Energy Field in Kinmundy. Kaitlyn Swift had 3 singles, Maddi Peddicord had 2 hits and scored twice. Kinlee Thompson drove in 2 runs along with Amelia Montes, Abi Shuler and Perci Reid. Peddicord was the winning pitcher with Lauren Johnson getting the final 2 innings of work.
