The Salem girls track team competed at the Monticello Sectional. They were 8th out of 18 teams. Finley Purcielli qualified for state in the high jump, Hannah Smith in the discus and Carly Veach in the 100 hurdles. The 4×100 team of Puricelli, Veach, Kinsey Jarrett and Eden Gallia fell just short but did break their own school record in a time of 50.69.
Centralia had qualifiers in 3 events at the 2A Monticello sectional. A’dariyah Dabney qualified in the long jump (17’1.5), Sha’ Maines in the 100m (12.64), and the 4×100 relay team of Aniah Young, A’dariyah Dabney, Zoee Coleman, and Sha’ Maines (50.33).

Christ Our Rock’s Rylee Brammeier will make her 3rd trip to the IHSA State Track & Field Meet at EIU in the 3200. She placed 2nd in her race at the 1a Webber Sectional. She also medaled in the 1600 finishing 5th. Madi Nolte PR’d in the shot at 27’3.7’’ putting her 11th. She would make the finals in the discus and place 9th.
Woodlawn Sophomore Zelena Koch brought home 2 medals. She came up just 1 place short of advancing in the 3200 finishing 3rd and was 6th in the 1600.
