The Redemption Church Salem is undergoing huge renovations throughout the entire facility. Redemption Church Salem’s pastor, Josh Philips, is the one leading the charge.

Rural Compassion from Ozark Missouri has partnered with Cavalry Church Naperville to assist in the renovations. The program has sent a team of 40 volunteer workers, which arrived on Monday May 12, and they will be leaving in after noon hours on Sunday, May 18. The church’s home residents are also assisting in the renovations.

The team has renovated the entire kitchen with new freshly painted cabinets, shelves, and cooking equipment. The teams have torn up all the carpet from the gym floor, painting all the walls, and plan to epoxy the gym floor. The auditorium has been completely repainted with a black backdrop and white walls, which will be better for the church’s live streams.

This weekend, Pastor Josh Phillips and the other church residents will be distributing food.

“This coming Saturday, we’re going to have our food outreach, which we do every month,” Phillips said. “We moved it this month, so we’d coincide with the mission trip this week. We’ll be giving out food this Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.”

Redemption Church has more community outreach programs planned for this Saturday. The church will be at the Iron Saddle Ranch with a booth set up where the public can receive free water and prayer. There will also be a community block party at the Odin campus with an emphasis on children, featuring inflatables, games, and free pulled pork sandwiches.

Work is also underway on a remodel project at the Odin campus. This includes the fellowship hall/kids center which hold service every Saturday night at 6:00 and a community dinner on the last Saturday night of the month at 5:00.

Although the team has worked hard all week long on the big renovations, once the renovation team leaves, there will still be a few small renovations to be made before the entire project is complete.
