Salem Wildcats 2nd At Cahokia Track Championships

The Salem Wildcats were 2^nd at the Cahokia Conference Track Championships in the large school Mississippi Division.  Freeburg won the event with 177 points but Salem was 2^nd with 135 and Roxana 3^rd with 100.

Dupo won the Kaskaskia Division with 148 points with Valmeyer 2^nd and New Athens 3^rd.

In the Illinois Division, Wesclin scored 161 points, Chester 143 and Red bud 90.

For Salem, Miking Ettress was 4^th in the 200, Payton Gullion 4^th in the 400, Hunter Malan 4^th in the 800, Robby Shober was 4^th in the mile and 2^nd in the 3200.  The Salem 4×200 relay team of Ettress, Trey Clark, Avery Gullion and Madden Thompson were 2^nd, the 4×400 team of Avery and Payton Gullion, Alex Spencer and Hunter Malan were 2^nd in 3:34.90, the 4×800 team of Spencer, Malan, Caleb Purintun and Payton Gullion were 3^rd.

In the field events, Silas Lux won the shot put throwing it 48 feet.  DJ Kaufman was 2^nd.  Trey Clark was 3^rd in the discus, Madden Thompson 4^th in the high jump, Holden Richardson won the pole vault clearing 12 feet, Ettress was 2^nd in the long jump and Madden Thompson 3^rd in the triple jump.
