The City of Centralia has renewed its municipal aggregation program for another year and expects to deliver lower rates to residential and small business customers who are in the program.

The summer rate will be $0.12048 per kilowatt hour, compared to Ameren’s summer residential rate of $0.12547 and its small commercial rate of $0.14580.

If you are in the aggregation program, you do not need to do anything to continue to be in the program.   You can drop out at any time without cost, but if you leave the program, you must wait a year to be eligible to return.  You will receive a letter from Homefield Energy giving you options to leave the program with the start of the new contract year.

Centralia residents voted to begin the municipal aggregation program in 2012, and it has been in effect for nearly 13 years.  On average, over 70-percent of the city account holders participate in the program reaching as high as 90-percent.
