Calvin (Bill) Woolford, 88, of St. Augustine, Florida, formerly of Salem, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025, with his loving wife by his side.
Born and raised in Sparta, Illinois, Calvin spent his early years building a life centered around hard work and community. One of his major life accomplishments was owning and operating Woolford-Marsh Appliance Sales and Service in Salem and Centralia, Illinois, a business he took great pride in and ran with dedication from 1977-1998.
Bill and family enjoyed 21 years on Lake Okeechobee, Florida, where he fulfilled his passion of an avid fisherman. He found peace and fulfillment on the water, rod in hand and sun on his shoulders. Calvin was a devoted family man who cherished time with his children and grandchildren. Bill was also a dedicated sports fan, especially to the St. Louis Cardinals.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Nancy Woolford; children, Robin Diaz, Billy Woolford, Kristy Larson, and Jaime Ndandu; brothers, Jim and Alan Woolford; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Evelyn Woolford, and daughters, Laurie Martin and Lisa Woolford.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date .
