A small secondary home on the Sherry Burrichter property at 402 Linden was destroyed by fire late Wednesday night.
Centralia City Firemen say heavy fire was showing through two windows of the home and beginning to come through the roof when they arrived on the scene. The fire eventually burned through the roof and caused it to cave in.
Centralia Fire Chief Jeff Day says the cause of the fire has not been determined. Firemen were on the scene for about three hours beginning at 11:45 Wednesday night.
The Centralia Fire Protection District provided mutual aid on the scene. Odin Firemen stood by in the event of another fire.
