Fresh off their 1-0 thriller of a win on Tuesday in Columbia, the Lady Wildcats will try to sweep the Lady Eagles today at Tully Park and try to remain undefeated in Cahokia play.
The Annies knocked off Mt Vernon again in a nail biter as Centralia walked off 2-1 in 8 innings when Kaylee Bowdler homered to left field. Madison Francois was the winning pitcher allowing 6 hits and 1 run over 8 innings with 13 strikeouts. Taylor DeSmith took the loss going 7.1 allowing 1 earned run.
Windsor/Stew-Stras won a pitchers dual over Altamont 1-0. Lady Hatchet hurler Sam Hayes threw her 2nd perfect game of the season. She struck out 13 in her 7 innings and helped herself out with the only run of the game in the bottom of the sixth as she doubled to left. Indians standout Grace Lemke also had a great game as she struck out 11.
