The Keep Salem Beautiful Spring Cleanup has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 17th.
Participants should register at Pavilion One in Bryan Memorial Park near the band stage before 9 a.m. The cleanup of the park and other public areas will begin at nine and continue through noon.
Meanwhile, KSB has announced the winner of this year’s t-shirt design competition. He’s Reed Knapp of Selmaville Grade School, who is in Michelle Murphy’s fourth-grade class. Murphy felt it was important to get involved in the competition as a way of promoting the importance of learning about the environment and not littering.
In all, there were 130 submissions from Selmaville, Salem Franklin Park, Raccoon, and Iuka Grade Schools.
