A 32-year-old Salem man has been charged with multiple offenses after allegedly pointing a gun out the window of his gun after a verbal altercation with a group of residents along the street.
Anthony Haag of North Ohio made his first appearance in Marion County Court on Tuesday for alleged aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon, unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault.
Haag was located several hours after the incident at his home after his license plate number was obtained by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department. Salem Police say the gun was also recovered.
Haag was denied a public defender. He is due back in court on June 11th for status regarding counsel.
Haag was granted pre-trial release until his next court appearance. Part of the agreement is he have no contact with the person he allegedly displayed the weapon.
