Jerome A. Huth, age 92 of Carlyle, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese, IL.
Mr. Huth was born in Belleville, IL, on April 18, 1933, a son of the late John and Clara Huth. He married Delores M. Potter on October 27, 1956, and she survives in Carlyle. In addition to his wife, Delores, Jerry is also survived by 6 children, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Jerry was the proud owner and operator of Jerry’s Flower Shop in Belleville for 20 years, where his deep love of flowers brought joy to countless lives. A dedicated member of St. Mary’s Church, Jerry also served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In his free time, he found joy in searching for and collecting arrowheads, and he was a loyal St. Louis Cardinals fan.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, 1171 Livingston Street, Carlyle, on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Interment with military honors will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carlyle. Visitation will be held at Zieren Funeral Home, 1111 Clinton Street, Carlyle, on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 9:00 – 10:45 AM.
