Lady Cats Get Huge Conference Win At Columbia
The Salem Lady Wildcats defeated Columbia 1-0 to stay undefeated in Cahokia play. Lilly Blagoue hit a solo homer to account for the only run of the game as she finished with 2 hits. Bre Thurman was the winning pitcher. She saved her best for when it mattered as Columbia loaded the bases with nobody out in the 4th. The senior John A Logan commit would strike out the next 3 batters to keep the game scoreless.
Annies Comeback To Beat Lady Rams
The Annies softball team will play at home today against Mt Vernon. Last night, Centralia trailed 1-0 until the top of the sixth when they would plate 3 runs. Maddy Francois doubled down the left field line and following an error they would score on a Rorie Lambert sac fly. Francois was the winning pitcher allowing 3 hits and no earned runs with 11 strikeouts. Danicah Tobin was good for the Lady Rams in the loss. Tobin Struck out 11and didn’t walk anyone scattering 5 hits.
